About Cutlia
Simple, fast video tools that respect your privacy — and never ask you to upload anything.
Why Cutlia exists
Most online video editors work the same way: upload your file, wait, create an account, then download a result with a watermark on it. For a quick edit — adding subtitles, trimming a clip, shrinking a file to send — that's a lot of friction, and it means handing your footage to someone else's server.
Modern browsers are powerful enough to do this work themselves. Cutlia uses WebAssembly, hardware-accelerated video encoding and on-device AI to edit videos directly on your computer or phone.
How your privacy is protected
- Your files stay on your device. Videos are opened and processed locally and are never uploaded to our servers.
- No account. We don't ask for your name, email or password.
- AI runs locally too. Speech recognition and other AI models are downloaded to your browser and run there.
How Cutlia stays free
Cutlia is supported by advertising shown on the website. There are no paid tiers, no watermarks and no limits designed to push you into a subscription. Because there are no servers processing video, the site is cheap to run — which is what makes this model work.
Built on open source
Cutlia runs on open-source software, fonts and AI models — from the speech recognition model that writes your subtitles to the code that encodes your video. See who makes them and how we use them on our open-source licenses page.
Who makes Cutlia
Cutlia is made by a software company in Croatia. Its details are on the Contact page.
